Is-sinjal għal SĦUN jew JAĦRAQ isir b’id waħda forma ta’ 5 kkurvata bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u l-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu lejn il-ġenb. L-id timxi ftit ’il bogħod minn quddiem il-ħalq lejn il-ġenb waqt li x-xufftejn jittundjaw ’il barra qishom qed jonfħu. Dan is-sinjal jintuża għall-ikel li jkun sħun jew jaħraq.
The sign for HOT is made with one hand in the shape of curved 5 with palm facing inwards and fingertips pointing to the side. The hand moves a little away from the front of the mouth towards the side whilst the lips are rounded outwards as though blowing. This sign is used for hot or very hot food.
